Do you use a skateboard? Eon Board is here to make your life easier. How would you like a skateboard that runs at 35 kilometers per hour?
The board is designed by Unlimited Engineering.
The Eon Board uses a low resistance motor on the wheel with a battery that can propel a skateboard at speeds up to 22 miles per hour for 15 miles on a single charge. Through a system dubbed 'regenerative braking,' the Eon Board will be able to automatically recharge partially every time you slow down.
Perhaps even more impressive, is that you can use the technology on the skateboard you already have. The process seems rather painless and requires a few common household tools and 30 minutes of your time.
The Eon Board is seeking funding through the Kickstarter and it looks like he's more than doubled his $110,000 goal.
