The renaming of the Windows Store to Microsoft Store makes sense in the Windows 10, especially because the software giant is adding more content and product categories not necessarily related to Windows.
For example, although the Windows Store was originally supposed to provide quick access to apps and games, it has since expanded to music, movies, themes and browser extensions, most recently with Microsoft's announcement that it is bringing the full version of Office at Store.
At the same time, Microsoft has also been testing Office 365 subscriptions sold through the Store, so the change opens the door to a larger expansion that could at some point include even more products that can be purchased by users.
