One of these is the System Rescue Cd which is aimed at system administrators. SystemRescueCD is a powerful tool for repairing Linux systems and can be run as a bootable CD-ROM or from a USB stick.

A welcome message provides basic instructions for starting the network interface, running programs on a command line (text editors and a web browser), allowing NTFS support to read Windows formatted hard drives.

Uses graphical user interface XFCE.

The System Rescue CD is based on Gentoo and distributed under the GNU General Public License Version 2.
